Águilas anchorage, SE Spain, 37°24.29N 001°34.14W (May 2011)

7 m depth, E of the fishing harbour.

Useful stop in suitable winds, but probably often some swell. Very open SE to SW. Fishing buoys in E end of the bay. Swimming buoys along the beach. Some wash from fishing boats, not much. Not much noise from ashore. The landwind brought fertilizer stink. The bay right to the E, El Hornillo, might offer a similar anchorage with similar protection, and with less buildings and less fishing boat wash, but it too has fishing buoys in the E part restricting the anchorage room. We picked up an open wifi, a name with all numbers.
